The story behind the cafe, and the family that built it

Camilla's began at Les Friteaux. The building was already in the family. Greg ran it as GFF, and when the chance came to turn part of it into a proper cafe, he and his daughter Camilla took it on together.

One half kept its purpose;

The other became the cafe you see today. It worked. People came in, settled, and kept coming back.

Inside eighteen months the idea had outgrown a single spot, and they opened a second Camilla's, Camillas at the Mill, a workspace built for the island's working day.
